About the Role
Premier Education are looking for a caring, organised and enthusiastic Nursery Club Practitioner to oversee the daily running of our new nursery wraparound care provision at Parklands & Harrington Primary School.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about early years education, play-based learning, and supporting young children’s development in a fun and caring setting.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the daily operation of the nursery club, ensuring it runs smoothly and reflects the school’s ethos and safeguarding standards.
Plan and deliver a range of age-appropriate, play-based activities that support children’s physical, emotional and social development.
Ensure all children are welcomed, settled and cared for in a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment.
Supervise and support a small team of nursery practitioners, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers, handling queries, payments and providing daily feedback on children’s experiences.
Maintain accurate attendance registers, accident/incident logs and other required records.
Liaise regularly with the school’s Senior Leadership Team and the Wraparound Care Manager to ensure continuity and high-quality provision.
Prepare and serve healthy snacks, ensuring that food hygiene standards are met.
Oversee stock levels and resources, ensuring equipment is safe, engaging and well maintained.
Support staff professional development through on-the-job guidance and training.
Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusion policies at all times.
Essential Attributes
A warm, caring and enthusiastic personality with a genuine passion for working with young children.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Confidence in leading a small team and using initiative.
Strong awareness of safeguarding, health & safety, and child wellbeing.
GCSE (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Level 2 or above qualification in Childcare, Early Years Education, or Playworker.
Experience working with children in an early years or nursery environment.
Experience of planning and delivering play-based activities.
Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene Certificates.
Up-to-date safeguarding training and an Enhanced DBS check.
