Summary

Are you passionate about helping others grow and succeed through music? Do you want to contribute to our wider musical community? Are you looking for a calm, supportive workplace with the opportunity for hybrid working?

Kent Music is looking for a good communicator and someone who enjoys customer focussed duties to join our team as Finance Administrator.

This is a part-time position (30 hours per week) offered on a fixed term maternity cover contract.

What you’ll do:

As Finance Administrator, you’ll support the finance team and wider organisation with a range of financial and administrative tasks. Key duties include the administration of Kent Music’s financial assistance programme, as well as aged debt chasing. You will also review payments, process bank reconciliation, and monitor instalment plans. Working closely with the Finance Lead, you’ll also play a supporting role in the annual audit and be the main point of contact for general enquiries coming into the finance department.

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a well organised and proactive Finance Administrator with excellent attention to detail. With a polite, professional manner, you will be confident working independently or as part of a team and will manage deadlines effectively. You will be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel, and while knowledge of Sage 200 payroll is desirable, it’s not vital. A commitment to equality, diversity & inclusion, and youth voice is essential.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 2nd December 2025. The start date for this role is Monday 5th January 2026.
