Leeds Mathematics School is seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of SEND Officer. This role is of great importance to our work at LMaS. The successful candidate will ensure the effective delivery of SEND support to students at LMaS with SEND, and to their parents & carers and their teachers, to ensure that our support for LMaStudents with SEND is comprehensive, personalised and highly impactful.
Applicants should have:
• In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Equality Act (as amended), and its application in education.
• Clear understanding of inclusive practice, strategies to remove barriers to learning, and approaches that promote participation for all LMaStudents.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within the context of SEND.
• High level of IT literacy, including data management systems and online platforms.
