Summary
Job Description
Please note this is a fixed term post for 1 year from start date.
The postholder will take the lead on the development of strategy and policy on equality, diversity, and human rights matters. Working with services, communities, equality groups and stakeholders, the postholder will provide subject matter expert advice, guidance, and support to ensure that the Council is compliant with statutory legislation on equality and diversity.
The postholder will also champion, raise awareness and embed equality, diversity, and human rights best practice through organisational development; providing advice on service delivery and leading on the development of key policy, plans and communications.
Keeping abreast of national policy and legislation the postholder will provide support to the strategic leadership group, senior managers and elected members as the Councils lead on equality, diversity and human rights related matters.
