Crynodeb
This full-time post would be suitable for experienced officers or graduates seeking Local Authority experience.
You will be responsible for inspecting rented homes and processing, drafting and issuing licences. The role also involves providing advice to landlords to assist in compliance with their legal obligations and where necessary take enforcement action. You will also assist with the private sector housing functions of the service. The day-to-day functions of the role relate primarily to processing and issuing selective licenses. However, there may also be opportunity/need for the successful applicant to cover some other parts of the wider service.
Knowledge of private sector housing enforcement methods, legislation, regulation and codes of practice is essential. Knowledge of issuing licences in private sector housing is desirable. Further requirements for the role can be found in the Person Specification below.
The salary is career graded offering progression for relevant experience and qualifications.
