Our client is the UK branch of a leading South African manufacturer of access control products, established to provide local support and enhanced service to customers across the UK.
They are now seeking a reliable and practical General Labourer / All-Rounder to join the team and play an active role in day-to-day operations. It’s a very hands-on position that will involve a wide range of practical tasks, such as pressure washing and painting turnstile products and containers.
Are you the right person for the job?
• Hold a full driver’s licence (minimum 3 years essential) and be aged 23+
• Be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
• Be technically minded and quick to learn new skills
• Take a practical, all-rounder approach and enjoy getting stuck in
• Work well in a team with a positive, can-do attitude
• Be of working age – this role isn’t suitable for retired applicants due to the physical nature of the work
What will your role look like?
• Working across a variety of hands-on, practical projects
• Supporting different areas of the business as needed
• Assisting with the stock management of access control products stored at the warehouse, including full-height turnstiles, waist-height turnstiles, and automatic vehicle barriers
• Helping the technical support team by preparing tools, parts, or assisting with basic maintenance tasks
• Carrying out basic inspections or pre-dispatch checks on products
• Pressure washing and painting turnstile products and containers
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Taking responsibility for maintaining a tidy and organised workspace
