Summary

We're looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our Natural Resources team. In this role you'll be procurement officer for our new 7-year, c£1bn framework with Southern Water.

Location: Hybrid working with occasional visits to the Falmer office, East Sussex and sites across the Southern Water patchHours: Permanent, Full Time - flexible hours are available if preferred, just let us know upon application



Responsibilities

We're looking for a Pre-Construction Manager to join our NRNN water team working on our Southern Water framework. In this role you will be the framework senior leadership team member driving efficient delivery during the Pre-Construction phase of the programme of our strategic delivery partner framework. Accountable for leading Design, Procurement and Proposals ensuring timely delivery of stage 1 (outline design) submissions that provide affordable solutions aligned to SWS budgets.



In your day to day, you'll:



-Embed GIRI into day-to-day routines during the Preconstruction phase, facilitating workshops and design development sessions

-Ensure collaboration between disciplines under your direct control to drive an integrated approach between Design Management, Procurement and Proposals teams.

-Facilitate liaison between Operations, Commercial and Pre-Construction teams to ensure attainment of overall programme.

-Manage the process of developing high quality proposals, coordinating all elements of the submission preconstruction process, including cost planning / estimating, design, operational, programme and bid writing.

-Accountable for implementing our Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) process stages 1 - 4, ensuring governance is undertaken from opportunity identification to handover.

What are we looking for?

This Pre-Construction Manager role is great for you if you have:

-Demonstrable leadership skills: trusted, focused and collaborative.

-Excellent understanding of the pre-construction process, interpreting client requirements and converting them to outstanding project solutions that deliver technical, quality, budget, programme, and sustainability targets, whilst achieving sustainable business margins.

-Have a strong knowledge of NEC contracting and experience of bid coordination.

-Knowledge and experience of project management techniques and the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, Power-point and Outlook)
