Job Information
We are currently recruiting for a multi-skilled electrical engineer with a strong electrical bias to join our maintenance team to
service and maintain various equipment within our portfolio of 7 secondary schools in the Hertfordshire, Luton and Reading.
We are looking for an energetic, dynamic multi-skilled electrical maintenance engineer with a fundamental understanding of a variety of
equipment and buildings. The
successful candidate must also be able to use their skill set to solve problems in other areas of the business as required.
A proactive attitude towards colleagues, customers and work in general is required at all times.
Main Duties
Electrical maintenance and other general building maintenance on reactive tasks at 7 secondary schools.
· Have a wide range of knowledge for M&E equipment that can be found in a modern education
environment.
· Carry out reactive service work to all aspects of an education environment.
- Carry out the monthly retrieving of data from the school data sensors and download from the BMS.
· Carry out proactive service work to all aspects of an education environment.
· Assist site management teams with all procedures undertaken for life-cycle works.
-Escort subcontractors where required.
· Carry out tests and remedial works on emergency lighting circuits.
· Carry out minor installations to current electrical circuits.
· Complete all work related documentation accurately and on time and within the customer SLA's
-Obtain quotes for parts needed to complete maintenance jobs.
· Hold a full clean driving licence.
· Be able to gain full advanced CRB clearance for the safeguarding of children.
· Have excellent communication skills.
· Be able to complete paperwork on time as required.
· Update all works undertaken on a daily basis with the help desk team.
Support the Electrical Supervisor and contract manger.
Complete monthly PPM's on time
Have a don't walk by approach to building issues and report to the Electrical Supervisor
Support with all building maintenance reactive tasks where required
· Undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.
What we are looking for
Peronal specification
· Hold a current PASMA licence.
· Hold a current IPAF licence.
· Have full 17th edition certification.
· Have fully recognised electrical qualifications (NVQ 2&3) minimum. And/Or
· Recognised mechanical or HVAC qualifications (NVQ 2&3) minimum.
· Hold certification for working at heights.
· L8 Awareness Trained for Legionella control.
