We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Accounts Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy accounts department while working towards a nationally recognised qualification in accounting.

The Role
As an Apprentice Accounts Assistant, you’ll work closely with our Team, gaining hands-on experience while studying towards your accounting qualification.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with accounts preparation
• Helping prepare financial reports
• Supporting payroll administration
• Maintaining accurate records and filing systems
• General office and administrative support as needed
• Assisting with the preparation of VAT returns

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Enthusiastic and eager to learn about finance and accounting
• Organised with great attention to detail
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and other basic IT tools
• A good communicator and team player
• Able to work accurately and meet deadlines

Qualifications: GCSE maths and English at Grade 4 or above – Desirable

Future prospects: Opportunities for progression upon completion of apprenticeship.

Working week: Monday- Thursday 8:30AM-4:30PM Friday 9AM-3PM

Training: Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete an Accounts Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship.
