Pay rate: £310.37 per day PAYE
Role length: Anticipated 6 months
Working arrangements: Hybrid – need to be in the office 2-3 days per week
Additional requirement: Basic DBS
The role:
We are seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to join the team, on a temporary assignment, to contribute to the effective management of the Council’s diverse property portfolio, covering both housing and non-housing assets.
You will need to be a qualified (or aspiring) RICS member with strong surveying and local authority experience, capable of managing diverse estate and asset management caseloads and handling landlord and tenant matters.
Key responsibilities:
Undertake a broad range of estate and asset management tasks across the Council’s property portfolio, including both housing and non-housing
Manage landlord and tenant matters
Handle statutory asset valuations and Right-to-Buy cases
Process a variety of property transactions, including disposals, licence agreements, relaxation of restrictive covenants, and wayleaves
What the client is looking for:
Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), or working towards full membership
Strong surveying experience
Demonstrable local authority experience
Proven ability to manage a varied caseload across estate and asset management functions
Ability to undertake landlord and tenant matters
Experience of processing various property transactions, including disposals, license agreements, relaxation of restrictive covenants, and wayleaves
Excellent organisation and communication skills
