Job Description

Are you passionate about data, performance, and making a real impact in education services? Falkirk Council Education Services is looking for a Performance Monitoring Officer to join our Quality Improvement Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping how we monitor, report, and improve performance across our Education Services.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of performance data to support strategic planning and service improvement.
  • Maintain and develop systems for tracking National Performance Indicators and benchmarking against other authorities.
  • Support the production of key documents including the Service Improvement Plan and Standards & Quality Report.
  • Provide insight into social, economic, and demographic trends affecting education.
  • Collaborate across teams and services to drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in data management, report writing, and using MS Office tools.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
  • Knowledge of data protection legislation and national education guidelines is a plus.
