Hours of work: 37 Hours Per Week
Hybrid working available 3 days onsite/ 2 days working from home/ Flexi Start/Finish Times
The Role:
As the Structural Analyst Engineer, you will be part of the Nuclear Mechanical Team and will be responsible for the design and substantiation for a wide range of structures and components. The project incorporates the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of several systems. This role will not only offer an interesting and challenging design/substantiation but also provides opportunities to see designs being realised, installed and commissioned, offering invaluable experience to the individual.
Main Responsibilities:
You will be designing, analysing and assessing various structures and components, with key responsibilities as outlined below:
* You will undertake design calculations in accordance with industry standard design codes and standards, inclusive of evaluating earthquake loads.
* You will generate, evaluate, and select the most appropriate design based on cost whilst ensuring that they're appropriate for use and compliant with any space constraints, customer, and UK regulatory specifications.
* You will work with the Computer Aided Design team to produce equipment fabrication drawings.
* You will produce equipment specifications.
* You will present designs at internal Technical Reviews.
* You will work with fabricators to realise the designs.
Experience/Qualifications:
*All candidates MUST have a minimum of 2 Years Relevant Industry Experience*All candidates MUST be proficient in structural analysis and mechanical design software (e.g Finite Element Analysis ANSYS or Abaqus Experience desirable)
*All candidates MUST understand material properties.
*All candidates MUST have knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
*All candidates MUST have previous experience in mechanical or structural/stress analysis.
*All candidates MUST have created detailed technical reports, presentations, analysis summaries, and recommendations for design improvements.
*All candidates MUST hold either a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Please note HNC/HND maybe considered depending on candidates experience.
Please note for this role all candidates MUST be eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance.
