We’re excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Female Supervisor* to join our dedicated team in our Housing Support Service based in Aberdeen. In this role, you’ll be an integral part of our service, providing high-quality support to adults with complex needs, while leading a compassionate and dynamic team committed to making a real difference.

Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and flexible leader to join our management team. In this role, you will have direct line management responsibility for two services in the Northfield area of Aberdeen, overseeing two staff teams.

You will support two individuals who are deaf and have learning disabilities, ensuring they live fulfilling lives and enjoy activities of their choice such as swimming, bowling, cycling, discos, and more, while also introducing new opportunities tailored to their interests.

Please note:

>This is a driver essential role, and only applicants with a full UK manual or automatic driving licence will be considered.
>*This is a Female Supervisor role and for this position, female is an Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.

What the role involves:

>Managing and supporting two staff teams across the services.
>Working a variety of shift patterns, including early shifts (7 hours), back shifts with sleepovers, and 24-hour shifts with sleepovers. Flexibility to work weekdays, nights, and weekends is essential.
>Spending one day per week in our Ellon office to complete management tasks such as paperwork, supervisions, rotas, and team meetings.
>Participating in the on-call rota as part of the management team.

About you

You will have significant experience working directly with individuals who have complex care and communication needs. You’re a natural leader who can motivate and guide colleagues, always striving to deliver person-centred care and set a strong example of best practices in social care.

This role could be perfect for you if:

>SVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care and be in a position to work towards an SVQ3 as determined by the SSSC
>You hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
>You are flexible, able to work across a range of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.
>You possess strong IT and organisational skills to manage office tasks efficiently.
>You have a deep understanding and experience of person-centred practice.
>You are skilled in coaching and mentoring colleagues to foster their development.
>You have exceptional communication skills, especially in conveying complex and sensitive information.
