Crynodeb

There are 3 main areas of work: Audit Planning and Process Support and facilitate the delivery of the Trust annual clinical audit programme whilst actively contributing to the support of ad-hoc audits as and when they are initiated Ensure that audits that are conducted in a robust manner identifying explicit criteria from national, regional and local guidelines and ensure audits are followed up with applicable action plans to address deficiencies Ensure that audit activity is accurately recorded on the departmental database and appropriate templates are maintained and completed for audit and governance purposes Monitor and report compliance with recommendations and action plans from local and national audits Best Practice Standards Ensure that best practice compliance is accurately recorded on the departmental database and appropriate templates are maintained and completed for audit and governance purposes Identify new best practice standards relevant to the Trust and ensure these are disseminated appropriately Support clinical services in the completion of compliance assessment grids Monitor and report compliance with best practice standards and action plans for areas of non-compliance Controlled Documentation Process approvals of controlled documents Support and facilitate the development of controlled documents Monitor and report compliance with review dates for controlled documents Work with clinical services to ensure documents reference appropriate best practice standards General Monitor email inboxes and respond to queries and requests in a timely manner Organise, attend and support relevant clinical standards meetings, including deputising for other members of the Clinical Standards team when called upon Liaise with other departments to ensure that the development of new services and technologies (e.g. electronic patient record) adhere to clinical standards processes Provide informal training to staff on a 1:1 basis or in small groups on the clinical audit process Manage personal workload, determining priorities within the designated area in liaison with Clinical Standards and Outcomes Manager
