Summary

Learning Support Worker

ROLE DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality support to learners with additional needs. You will work closely with teaching staff and support services to ensure that students can access learning and achieve their full potential.


The main duties of the post holder would be:


In class support for learners with EHCPs, this would include note taking, prompting, assisting students with classroom tasks to access teaching, learning and assessment


Creating / adapting / using a range of resources and strategies to meet learners' needs including e-resources, assistive technology and adapted equipment


Supervising learners on arrival at college, during lunchtimes and breaks and ensuring they leave the premises with due care as required


Supporting learners off-site in learning and travelling contexts e.g. trips, travel training, work placements


Keeping records of learner needs, progress and the achievement of learning targets
