About the Role
Lincolnshire County Council is seeking two compassionate and resilient Customer Service Advisors to join the Children’s Social Care Team within the Care & Wellbeing Hub. You’ll be the first point of contact for calls reporting concerns about children—handling sensitive information with professionalism, empathy, and clarity.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and respond to calls from the public and professionals (e.g. police, nurses, teachers)
Use professional curiosity to gather detailed, accurate information
Record and present information clearly within a structured framework
Liaise with Children’s Social Care to support timely decision-making
Maintain confidentiality and emotional resilience in challenging situations
What You’ll Need
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Ability to build rapport and extract key details over the phone
Strong written skills for accurate, concise documentation
Emotional resilience and a compassionate approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows systems
Flexibility to work within a fast-paced, high-impact environment
Where You’ll Work
Based at Lancaster House in Lincoln City Centre, with agile working options available once fully trained.
