Location: Victoria Law Courts, Birmingham
Hours: 36.5 per week | Mon–Fri, 08:45–17:15 (plus weekends/bank holidays on rota)
Rate: £25.60 PAYE | £33.30 Umbrella
⚖️ About the Role
Birmingham Children’s Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Court Officer to represent children throughout court proceedings. This is a vital in-person role based at Victoria Law Courts, requiring strong advocacy, professional liaison, and court servicing skills.
Key Responsibilities
Represent children in youth justice proceedings with professionalism and empathy
Liaise effectively with legal professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders
Attend and service court hearings, ensuring accurate documentation and representation
Maintain compliance with legal and procedural standards
Participate in weekend and bank holiday rota as required
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience in youth justice or youth court work
Preferred: Qualified candidates (but non-qualified applicants with relevant experience will be considered)
Strong understanding of child protection and youth justice frameworks
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Must be available to work on-site daily at Victoria Law Courts
