If you have a background in enforcement and compliance, the Council’s Licensing Team, based within the Public Protection Service, are seeking to recruit a Licensing Enforcement Officer.

This is an interesting and varied post which focusses on enforcement and compliance in relation to the Council’s various licensing functions including taxis, alcohol and entertainment, gambling, scrap metal, pavement licensing and street trading.

The postholder will have experience of dealing with complaints, carrying out investigations, writing detailed reports and statements, undertaking enforcement action and carrying out compliance checks across various areas of licensing.

Of particular importance is a flexible, proactive approach and a willingness for further self-development. You will also be expected to work outside of normal office hours on a regular basis.
