Location: M43, Droylsden
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:40pm
Pay Rate: From £102 per day
Contract: ASAP, Ongoing - Long Term position



We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

This role involves working as part of the EYFS team in the mornings, supporting learning through play, group activities and creative tasks. In the afternoons, you will be working 1:1 with a child with additional behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively with learning and daily routines.

About The Role:
- Support the class teacher in delivering EYFS curriculum activities.
- Prepare resources, lead small group learning and encourage independence.
- Provide 1:1 support to a child with challenging behaviour in the afternoons, using positive strategies to help them regulate emotions and stay engaged.
- Build supportive, nurturing relationships to help the child feel safe and confident.
- Work collaboratively with staff, external professionals and parents where needed

We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in EYFS and/or with children with additional behavioural or SEN needs.
- Is patient, calm and able to implement positive behaviour strategies.
- Can adapt approaches to meet individual needs and learning styles.
- Communicates well with both children and adults.
- Is reliable, compassionate and committed to making a difference.

Requirements:

· Valid DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check - or willing to apply
- Right to work in the UK
- Be able to provide professional references which cover the last 2 years
- Experience in an educational or childcare setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow school policies and safeguarding procedures
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion
