Are you a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of vulnerable families?

Brook Street Social Care are proud to be working in partnership with a specialist residential family assessment service in Lancashire, providing vital support and assessment for parents and children in a safe, structured environment.

The Role:

As a Qualified Social Worker, you will play a key role in undertaking robust, evidence-based family assessments within a residential setting. You'll work collaboratively with parents, children, registered managers and multi-disciplinary professionals to support positive outcomes and promote the safety and well being of each child.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Completing high-quality parenting assessments and reports for court proceedings.
  • Observing and recording family interactions within the residential environment.
  • Supporting parents to develop and maintain positive parenting practices.
  • Working in partnership with external agencies, including local authorities and health professionals.
  • Ensuring all safeguarding procedures and professional standards are upheld.
  • Work closely with a small case load of 5 families


About You:
We're looking for a Social Worker who is compassionate, analytical, and resilient - someone who can combine empathy with professional judgement.

You will need:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, Diploma, or equivalent)
  • SWE registration (Social Work England)
  • Experience in family assessment, child protection, or safeguarding
  • Excellent report-writing and analytical skills
  • Experience in courts
  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children and families
