Hays is proud to be partnering with a local council to recruit two Data Analysts to support the newly formed Strategic Parks Service. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape a new team and make a real impact through data-driven decision-making.


Role Overview: You'll be working across asset management systems, GIS platforms, and reporting tools to ensure data is effectively maintained, analysed, and utilised across various teams including Trees, Playgrounds, Rangers, and Destination Parks.


Contract Details:

  • Rate: £18 per hour (Inside IR35)
  • Contract: Initial 6-month contract
  • Location: Birmingham (Hybrid work pattern)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain data across Strategic Parks and GIS platforms
  • Deliver training on asset management and GIS tools
  • Design and review performance reports
  • Produce mapping and recommend system upgrades
  • Support operational teams with data for inspections, surveys, and risk assessments
  • Coordinate systems to improve accessibility and efficiency
  • Assist with financial aspects and stakeholder queries


✅ What We're Looking For:


  • GIS and asset management systems expertise
  • Experience with SQL and Power BI
  • Strong data management and reporting skills
  • Ability to train and support users
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Financial background (beneficial but not essential)
