Summary
The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for a Visitor Reception Assistant to work at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage, Shottery, Stratford-upon-Avon. This is a 23 hours per week contact over 4 days. The contract will run from November 2025 to Sunday 15 March 2026.
As Visitor Reception Assistant you will be responsible for delivering excellent standards of visitor experience through a warm welcome and sharing of information to enhance visitors’ understanding of the offer. You will also contribute to the financial sustainability of the Trust by ensuring that opportunities are taken to maximise sales through an efficient and professional admission process leading to increased average admissions and secondary spends.
To be successful in this role you will have experience of working in a high profile, customer-facing operation, preferably a busy visitor attraction with a diverse audience. You will be used to delivering against a range of KPIs including financial and visitor satisfaction targets. A sound understanding of customer service principles, experience of using EPOS ticketing systems, and cash handling are also essential.
