Hours: 40 per week (Mon–Fri, 08:00–16:30)

Role Overview
North Yorkshire Council is seeking a skilled and hands-on Construction Supervisor to join the NY Highways team. This role supports the delivery of planned maintenance projects across a diverse estate of public and commercial properties. You’ll be responsible for supervising multi-trade teams on site, ensuring health and safety compliance, and delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily construction and highways maintenance operations

Manage site documentation, resources, and contractor coordination

Lead Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) meetings

Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations

Line manage operatives and support their development

Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota

Essential Requirements
Proven experience across multiple trades in property maintenance

Valid SMSTS, CSCS Managers Card, First Aid at Work, and CITB MAP H&S Test

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Enhanced DBS (Children’s Barred List) required

Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across North Yorkshire
