Crynodeb
This is a hands-on role and requires the skills needed to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate should have a flair for storytelling with the ability deliver the charities' messages and demonstrate their impact though audience-specific content across traditional and social media channels, in written, video, graphic-led formats.
If you’re excited by the opportunity to help increase overall public awareness of our two charities, including the difference we are making for women, sick kids and their families, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
Your skills and passion will see you:
Support the PR Manager to plan, deliver and evaluate communication and engagement activities (through the delivery of the charity’s marketing and communications strategy), which maximise reach and increase supporter interaction and brand advocacy.
Respond to general day-to-day requests for internal and external communications, ensuring in-house styles and communications standards are met.
Write, edit, proof-read and film engaging content and articles for internal and external audiences, including delivery of the charity's weekly column in the Birmingham Mail as well as its two main publications, Red Balloon and the Impact Newsletter.
Support with the monitoring and management of the charity’s shared social media channels. Managing the weekly social media meetings – with both the fundraising and Trust communications team – to ensure all output is on brand and is coordinated.
Monitor and evaluate communications activity against the objectives set for each project. Create reports for colleagues, senior management, trustees and partners which track media coverage and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, including press clippings, media sentiment and audience reach.
Monitor and log media coverage and enquiries and support the production of the charity’s monthly evaluation dashboard.
Keep media lists accurate and up to date to ensure all media sell-ins are effective and will deliver the best results.
Support with the creation of an impact story pipeline, actively seeking out stories and examples which align with the charity’s national strategic objectives.
