Summary
We are seeking a CNC Machinist to work for a successful international equipment manufacturer based in Barnsley.
Working hours are based on a Double Day Shift. The hours will be 06:00 -14:00 or 14:00 - 22:00 Monday - Thursday & Friday 06:00-11:30 or 11:30 - 17:00 rotating shifts.
Basic starting salary £15.51 (x1.15 shift premium) x 37.5 hours per week plus guaranteed minimum £45 per week bonus. Guaranteed min salary of £37,121.00 per annum plus structured overtime paid at x1.5 or x2 hour rate.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Operate CNC Machine centres to achieve the required quality and at the required output (twin horizontal twin pallet)
• Provide feedback and ideas for improving the process and identifying & reporting reasons for any delays
• Follow planned daily targets to ensure the correct mix of work is completed to maintain/ improve Kanban stock levels and ensure no delays occur
• Ensure no faults are passed forward to the next process and highlight any concerns
Experience:
• Ideally apprentice trained with previous machining experience (minimum 3 years)
• Previous experience of CNC Programmes & Parameters;
• PC literate with emphasis on Microsoft Excel;
• Previous experience following standard operating procedure for setting up fixtures and jobs
• Awareness of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations.
