We are looking for Support Workers to join our Team.
We have full-time/ part time working available with an immediate start (subject to satisfactory references and DBS). Weekdays and weekends available.
The preferred candidates will have experience of supporting people with complex behavioural needs, though this is not essential as training will be provided for people with the right attitude and values.
It is essential that the team will provide to this individual:
A sense of safety and security; strong messages of care and attention to ensure that they feel safe and knows that they have people around who are going to support them.
- Firm and consistent boundaries which are provided with empathy and understanding
-To be helped to feel worthwhile and to think about themselves in positive terms
-Positive time with those involved in their care and the opportunity to develop relationships which are characterised by good emotional connections
-Support to regulate and learn how to manage and express their emotions in helpful and appropriate ways.
Support is provided 24/7 and will include a roster of long shifts, evenings, weekend and overnight support.
Duties include:
· Independent Living skills; Support with personal care, shopping and meal preparation.
· Facilitating Community Participation and Access.
· Dealing with medication
· Managing finances and Record-keeping
· Reporting any concerns
