️ About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and organised Business Support Assistant to join our Children’s Social Care team within the Education & Early Intervention group. Based at the Crown Building in Wrexham, you’ll play a key role in supporting the smooth running of departmental operations through high-quality administrative support.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to vital services that support children and families across the County Borough.

️ Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for internal and external enquiries

Maintain accurate records and input data into departmental systems

Support the development of spreadsheets and databases

Provide reception cover and signpost visitors appropriately

Manage incoming/outgoing mail and assist with diary coordination

Prepare documents including letters, reports, and presentations

Arrange meetings, book travel/accommodation, and take minutes

Handle petty cash and assist with basic financial processes

Maintain confidential employee records and uphold data protection standards

Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures

Person Specification
Essential:

5 GCSEs (including English & Maths) or equivalent experience

RSA II/III, ECDL or equivalent IT qualification

Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and specialist databases

Experience in a busy office environment

Excellent organisational and communication skills

Ability to work confidentially and adapt to changing priorities

Commitment to equality, diversity, and Welsh language and culture

Desirable:

Ability to communicate in Welsh

Knowledge of the service/function and office procedures

Experience handling petty cash or financial processes
