Are you a newly qualified midwife looking to kickstart your career? Or an experienced band 6 looking for a new opportunity? Do you want to relocate to beautiful North Yorkshire? (relocation expenses available)

We have opportunities for newly qualified band 5 and experienced band 6 midwives to join our maternity team, providinghigh qualitymidwiferycare to women within the hospital and community settingsofYork and Scarborough. There are opportunities available in all areas of hospital and community midwifery services, with an excellent preceptorship package for newly qualified midwives. These will be discussed at interview.

Midwives will work as part of a well-trained and well-led multi-disciplinaryteam to deliverhigh standardsof evidence-based care to ensure safe outcomes and a positive experience for all women and their families, in line with local and national standards.

INTERVIEWS WILL TAKE PLACE FACE TO FACE, NO REMOTE INTERVIEW REQUESTS CAN BE ACCOMMODATED.

To assess and support the physical and psychological wellbeing of pregnant, labouringand postpartum women and their families. This will involverisk assessing,monitoringandcaring for womenon low-andhigh-riskpathways throughout the continuum of pregnancy and the postpartum period.


Todemonstratea comprehensive range of knowledge and practice using current evidence-based research and practice, contributing to the development of midwifery within the maternity services at York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust.


To teach, supervise,supportand assess student midwives and colleagues within the wider maternity team based on your own level of experience. To contribute to a culture ofhigh standards, continuous learning, psychologicalsafetyand teamwork.


Towork within the framework of the NMC Midwives Code of Practice, and York & Scarborough NHS Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust Guidelines and Protocols.You maybe requiredto be deployed outside of their normal work setting, depending on clinical risk and service need.
