Northleach with Eastington Town Council is looking for part-time Facilities Manager (Caretaker) to help us look after the Westwoods Centre.
This essential role in our community hall involves undertaking duties to ensure the safety, security, cleanliness and maintenance of our buildings and grounds.
Responsibilities include opening and closing the building, setting up equipment for hirers, carrying out general maintenance and minor repairs (or reporting them), and generally looking after the building so we can continue to offer a great facility for the community.
You’ll also be a friendly point of contact for hall users, helping them get set up for events and activities, answering questions, and assisting with occasional enquiries.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in making spaces and people feel cared for. You’ll keep our hall safe, clean, and welcoming, and in return you’ll enjoy a flexible routine, and the satisfaction of playing a quiet but essential role in community life.
Key attributes for the role:
• Physically fit for lifting and carrying tasks
• Trustworthy and able to handle keys/responsibility for premises
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Friendly, approachable, and helpful manner
• Able to work without supervision.
Note: This post is subject to a Basic DBS check.
We welcome visits prior to application. If you have any questions or would like a conversation about the role, please contact clerk@northleach.gov.uk or call us on 01451 885349.
