Full-Time Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist
Salary: £31,000 per annum
Location: Greater Manchester (schools, assisted living, and community-based services)
Proposed Start Date: Monday 13 January 2026
TheraCue is seeking a compassionate, forward-thinking Speech and Language Therapist to join our new service. This full-time Band 5 role offers the opportunity to work with children, young people, and adults across diverse settings. We aim to align therapists with placements that reflect their clinical strengths while meeting commissioning needs.
About TheraCue
TheraCue is a founder-led start-up with a clear mission: to design emotionally intelligent speech and language therapy services that honour dignity, autonomy, and therapeutic impact. Our team blends clinical excellence with strategic innovation, creating spaces and systems that feel safe, empowering, and deeply human.
Your Role
You’ll deliver direct therapy and collaborative input across a small, well-supported caseload. Settings will be thoughtfully allocated based on your skill set, clinical interests, and service priorities. Whether your experience lies in school-based work, assisted living, or community outreach, we’ll support you to feel confident and prepared.
You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new AAC and therapeutic tech resources — including the early-stage rollout of TheraCue’s own tools — with space to shape, test, and reflect alongside the founder.
Essential Requirements • BSc or MSc in Speech and Language Therapy from an HCPC-accredited programme
• HCPC registration (or pending for newly qualified applicants)
• Passion for working with children, young people, and/or adults with communication needs
• Strong communication, empathy, and team collaboration skills
• Willingness to travel locally across Greater Manchester
What We Offer
• £31,000 annual salary (Band 5, full-time)
• Structured development: CPD time, reflective practice, and founder-led supervision
• Supportive systems: protected time, manageable caseloads, emotionally intelligent leadership
• Access to training: specialist modules, peer learning, optional leadership pathways
• Collaborative culture: your voice matters in shaping service delivery
• Innovation opportunities: contribute to new AAC tools and therapeutic tech
• Growth environment: space to build confidence, clinical identity, and long-term impact
Key Dates
• Applications close: Friday 22 November 2025
• Interviews: Week of 2 December 2025 (in-person at TheraCue HQ or virtual)
• Offers sent: Monday 9 December 2025
• Start date: Monday 13 January 2026
How to Apply
Please send your CV and cover letter to info@theracue.co.uk by Friday 22 November 2025.
If you have questions or need reasonable adjustments, contact us at the same address — we’ll do everything we can to support you.
