About the Role
In this role, you will:
Provide trauma-informed support and safety planning to victims and survivors of domestic abuse, particularly those in emergency or temporary accommodation.
Work in partnership with housing teams and other agencies to secure safe housing and advocate for clients’ rights and wellbeing.
Support individuals fleeing abuse with advice on housing, benefits, and legal protections, including referrals to specialist services.
Manage a small caseload and ensure smooth transitions to longer-term community support.
Liaise with multi-agency partners and contribute to MARAC, MATAC, and MAPPA processes to manage and escalate risk appropriately.
Make referrals for target hardening and help clients remain safely in their homes where appropriate.
Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring services are accessible and responsive to the needs of all communities, including those who are underrepresented or marginalised.
