Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Communications Officer to join our dynamic, forward-thinking team at South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP), working for East Lindsey District Council with a specific focus on the East Lindsey Investment Fund (ELIF) programme.
ELIF is an ambitious £10million fund prioritising investment in four distinct areas in East Lindsey: community development, promoting the visitor economy, supporting businesses, and boosting the attractiveness of the area.
Your job will be to take the strategic lead on the internal and external coverage of the Fund, bringing together press releases, social media, website content, photography, video, internal comms, media requests and press briefings across numerous projects to create a clear narrative and demonstrate and amplify the Fund’s successes to a wider audience, including residents, politicians, and partners.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a strategic, creative and proactive communications service, where no two days are the same. You’ll work closely with the rest of the team, senior officers and councillors, playing a key role in delivering high-impact communications across the project and wider council.
What you’ll be doing:
Achieving effective and improved communications and engagement between the council and its residents, employees, partners, the media and other stakeholders.
Providing an efficient, responsive and professional communications service, which upholds and enhances the reputation of the council and establishes brand confidence.
Being part of a forward-thinking communications department which offers professional, up-to-date and adaptable services.
Creating innovative communications, campaigns and social media content that help the council meet its organisational objectives.
Providing meaningful evaluation on a range of communications activity to inform current and future campaigns, content and communication priorities.
Working closely with politicians and officers to manage the strategy and overarching communications of the ELIF project, identifying and helping arrange opportunities for wider exposure.
What we’re looking for:
A confident and proactive communicator with proven experience in a communications or media environment.
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting and can juggle multiple priorities.
A creative thinker who can turn complex information into clear, compelling messages.
A willingness and ability to travel across the sub-region for meetings and events.
