Summary


Are you a highly skilled, visible and committed Children's Community Nurse? We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference to the health and well-being of children and young people in our community, whilst supporting and inspiring the nursing team to provide high quality care.



This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead an innovative and dynamic Community Children’s Nursing team which is part of an integrated network of services for children in Bexley & Greenwich. You will be leading a team that provides high quality specialist child-centred nursing care, in community settings and the child's own home. The service provision includes Asthma, Sickle Cell and Hospital at Home.



The post holder will work in close partnership with the other Matron to provide visible clinical leadership to ensure that Children and Young people and their families/carers receive high quality, evidence-based care. They will be accountable for upholding standards and quality, ensuring a positive patient experience, maintaining patient safety, and promoting clinical effectiveness within the service.

The Matrons will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Children’s Community Nursing (CCN), Hospital at Home (H@H), Asthma (including Respiratory Hub) and Sickle Cell service. Each Matron will have specific areas for which they are responsible and accountable for, within the overall service. The role includes supervision of senior nurses.
