Are you a caring and enthusiastic graduate passionate about supporting children at the very start of their education journey? A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Merton (SW19) is seeking a full-time EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team and help pupils flourish academically and socially.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Psychology graduate or someone with a related degree who aspires to work in education or child development. You’ll play a key role in nurturing curiosity, creativity, and growth in young learners in a supportive environment.

• EYFS Teaching Assistant – start immediately

• Full-time, term-time position until July 2026
• Daily pay rate from £95 to £110 depending on experience
• Supporting Nursery and Reception pupils with early learning and play-based activities

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Supporting class teachers with engaging EYFS activities
• Helping children with early literacy, numeracy, and phonics
• Supporting language development and social skills through play
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where needed
• Assisting with classroom routines, displays, and daily preparation
Ideal EYFS Teaching Assistant for this Merton School:
• Psychology graduate, or someone with a similar degree and career aspirations
• Warm, patient, and proactive in supporting young learners
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with EYFS or young children desirable
• Committed to full-time, term-time work until July 2026
