Part time - 12 hours per week

Are you a registered Children’s Nurse with a passion for teaching and education, do you enjoy enhancing the learning experience of both our future and current workforce?

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our Clinical Practice Educator Team as a ward-based Children’s Clinical Practice Educator. This pivotal role will focus on delivering education and training to support our Registered Nurses and learners across the Children’s ward and Children’s Emergency Unit (CEU) to support their career journey from entry to expert.

The postholder will be Children’sNMC registeredand will work closely with the CPE leads, linking into the academy to support high quality educational services to enhance the care of children across the two units

As the successful candidate you will promote a positive learning experience for learners using methods of teaching, coaching and supervision and provide support and training for both registered and Unregistered staff.

You will work closely and collaboratively with the Ward Managers, Matrons, Practice assessors/supervisors and AHP’s to ensure there is robust oversight of the training and development needs for their areas of responsibility.

As a role model you will promote the sharing of good practice, delivery of high quality, effective and efficient care underpinned by the NMC standards.

The Clinical Practice Educator (CPE) will identify and support the learning needs within their clinical areas for clinical staff both registered, unregistered staff and students (Including Student Nursing Associates – SNA).The CPE is key to ensuring the clinical area is a positive learning environment through acting as an expert resource, ensuring local training resources are appropriate and up to date, and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, senior colleagues and the Academy.
