Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our home care team specialising in senior and domiciliary care. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive knowledge of home care environments, and a passion for providing exceptional care. This role offers an opportunity to support the management team in delivering high standards of personalised care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a compassionate environment for residents. The Deputy Manager will play a vital part in supervising staff, overseeing care plans, and maintaining the smooth operation of the business.
Responsibilities
Assist the Home Care Manager in the day-to-day running of the company, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times
Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure effective team performance
Oversee the implementation and review of personalised care plans tailored to residents’ individual needs, including dementia and Alzheimer’s care
Administer medication in accordance with prescribed protocols, maintaining accurate records
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to health and safety, safeguarding, and quality standards
Support residents with daily activities, promoting independence and dignity within a caring environment
Contribute to staff training programmes and participate in recruitment processes as required
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate comprehensive resident care
Monitor the quality of service delivery through audits and feedback mechanisms
Experience
Proven experience working within home care environments, particularly with senior or dementia patients
Strong background in nursing or healthcare management with supervisory experience in a care setting
Knowledge of dementia care
Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively
Familiarity with medication administration protocols and regulatory compliance standards in home or residential care settings
Previous experience in managing or assisting with home care services is advantageous
