Due to business requirements this post is available on a Full Time/Job Share/Flexible Working basis. Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. The Law Enforcement Technology Services (LETS) team is part of the Police Public Protection Technology Portfolio (PPPT) within Home Office Digital. LETS teams are engaged in an ambitious programme of works to migrate critical national infrastructure to newer technologies, advanced platforms and modern data centres. This will provide frontline policing and the wider law enforcement organisations with reliable, secure future-ready IT solutions.
As a Technology Delivery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring engineering teams deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget . You’ll collaborate with Project and Product Managers to realise strategic goals to make a meaningful impact through technology delivery whilst ensuring robust support arrangements are in place to maintain the legacy services.
You will work across multi-disciplinary teams including security, service management, and technical design, translating complex concepts into actionable delivery. You’ll help shape delivery roadmaps, facilitate governance, and protect teams from external pressures thereby ensuring smooth and focussed progress.

Your main day to day responsibilities will be:
- Take responsibility for your team’s delivery of technology products and services, facilitating and coaching in using the most appropriate methods to explore needs, solve problems and deliver. Work with the team to continuously monitor and improve processes and performance.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of realistic plans and keep delivery on track within quality, cost, and time constraints. Remove blockers to the success of your team, involving stakeholders and engaging with governance as appropriate.
- Develop a motivated, functioning team, empowering collaboration and delivery while giving direction and constructive feedback. Monitor the profile and health of your team, working with them to resolve issues.
- Manage risks, issues, and dependencies appropriately.
- Engage with and influence relevant technical and non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to efforts to develop and enhance stakeholder relationships.
- Act as a routine contact point for suppliers involved in delivery. Monitor supplier performance and help to resolve problems with suppliers.
