We are looking for a Retail Specialist with strong convenience retail experience to shape, develop and deliver C-Store models across a range of bids and locations.​

This role plays a major part in building commercially robust, operationally viable retail solutions that align with our wider food and retail strategy.

Job Description

As a Retail Specialist, you will work from concept through to solutioning, translating bid requirements into location-specific operational proposals, supporting franchise alignment, and ensuring each model is scalable, compelling, and commercially sound.​

This is a hands-on and highly collaborative position, working cross-functionally with culinary, design, commercial and mobilisation teams to ensure a seamless retail offer.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Concept Development:

Create and refine C-Store models aligned to the wider retail blueprint and brand portfolio

Identify portfolio gaps and develop commercially viable enhancements

Ensure solutions meet both financial and operational performance thresholds

Bid Translation & Site Solutioning:

Translate bid requirements into tailored store concepts

Conduct site visits and stakeholder engagement to build the right format for the location

Shape franchise partner investment plans and operating models

Franchise & Stakeholder Management:

Manage relationships with franchise partners

Support the development of floorplans and operational blueprints

Act as the link between franchisees and project teams

Product & Retail Excellence:

Define product ranges, categories and planograms

Ensure alignment to market trends and consumer expectations

Support pricing and labour modelling for commercial viability

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with culinary, nutrition, pricing, digital and design teams

Ensure solutions are fully integrated and brand-aligned

Contribute to governance documentation and bid presentations

Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

Review performance data to inform future enhancements

Drive innovation in format, layout, and consumer experience

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Strong experience in convenience retail / C-Store development

Ability to translate concepts into commercially viable on-the-ground solutions

Skilled in stakeholder and franchise partner management

Solutions-driven, proactive, and confident working autonomously

Strong communication skills - able to influence internal and external stakeholders

Experience working cross-functionally in food / retail or hospitality projects
