PA needed for young man with Functional Neurological disorder.
This young man uses both a powered and manual wheelchair due to weakness in all limbs. This young person has Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which was changed to a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. This person has lost feeling from his waist down which has not fully returned.
Tasks needed
- Encourage and support with personal care as needed
- Support with irrigation machine if needed
- Support with dressing/undressing as needed
- Support to make connections with new friends
- Ensuring there is access to food and drink
- Encouragement to have a healthy diet
- Support with shopping
- Support with domestic tasks and complete tasks if needed
- Support with cooking safely
- Provide car transport to enable access the community (this person enjoys gaming, shopping for clothes, listening to music, watching TV and going to the cinema)
- Monitor mental and physical health
- Ensure medication is taken correctly during times he has had a seizure
- Pick up medication from pharmacy
- Provide support as required with transfer and mobility
- Encourage young person to do physio exercises to build strength and stamina
- Support with his short term memory
Flexible, can be discussed
Hourly rate
£16.47 for self-employed PA's

15 hours per week
