Contract Status – Temporary, up to 31st March 2026
Are you interested in working for the largest local authority in Scotland, in partnership with the NHS, to help improve the health and wellbeing of our community? Then, you are in the right place!
Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership’s (GCHSCP) Homelessness Service provides a comprehensive and person-centred response to individuals and families experiencing housing crisis. This post offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of homelessness services within the city and you will be part of a passionate team committed to reducing homelessness, improving housing outcomes and delivering meaningful change for some of the city’s most vulnerable residents.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Officer within GHSCP’s Homelessness Service. The postholder will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of practice systems, tools and guidance to support frontline staff and managers. The successful candidate will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to assist with the implementation of projects which GCHSCP has prioritised. The successful candidate will also ensure that current systems are compliant with legislation, codes of guidance as well as local and national standards.
Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to manage their own workload, prioritising competing tasks. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate new systems and processes and should therefore have experience in delivering presentations as well as experience of working with a range of ICT packages.
Please refer to the Person Specification for full details of the required qualifications, skills, knowledge and competencies that are required for the above role.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
