Finance Assistant Location: Scunthorpe | Full-Time |

Main Purpose of the RoleTo support the efficient operation of the organisation's financial systems by performing essential administrative and accounting tasks. The Finance Assistant will assist with day-to-day financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of financial activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
-Process purchase ledger invoices accurately and efficiently.

-Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies to ensure financial accuracy.

-Respond to and manage a variety of customer, supplier, and employee queries.

-Assist in the payment of suppliers and ensure timely processing of transactions.

-Support the monthly payroll and CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) processes.

-Provide administrative support, including handling departmental email inboxes, assisting with credit control, and maintaining accurate financial documentation and reports.

-Process weekly timesheets and mileage claims.

-Record and process credit card transactions in line with company policy.

-Perform ad hoc financial and administrative duties as required to support the Finance Team.

Qualifications and Experience
-5 GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above), including English and Maths.

-Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

-Strong accuracy and attention to detail.

-Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.

-Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.

-Basic understanding of financial processes, including VAT and general accounting principles.
