Electrical Design Engineer
Location: On-site (Morecambe, LA3)
Salary: £40,000–£60,000 per year

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Design Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PCB design, electronics development, and wiring design, playing a key role in developing and improving our products.

This position requires both technical expertise and a hands-on approach, ensuring designs meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities
Design and develop schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams for new and existing products.
Perform root cause analysis on design and manufacturing issues, implementing effective corrective actions.
Develop and maintain design documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
Integrate and configure logic controllers (PLCs or microcontrollers) into system designs.
Work closely with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, testing, and mechanical) to ensure seamless product integration.
Stay up to date with electronics and PCB design trends, components, and industry best practices.
Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new designs.


Skills & Experience
Strong background in electronics and PCB design (schematic capture, layout, and component selection).
Practical experience with wiring design and harnessing.
Proficient in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
Hands-on skills in soldering and prototype assembly.
Familiarity with logic controllers, microcontrollers, and embedded systems integration.
Knowledge of system-level design principles and standards.
Experience with LabView (or similar test automation tools) is advantageous.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
