What You'll Be Doing

As a Trainee / Apprentice Facilities Manager, you'll play a key part in supporting the delivery of exceptional on-site services for our client. Working alongside experienced Facilities Managers, Engineers, and Service Teams, you'll gain real experience across every aspect of building management, from maintenance and compliance to customer service and health & safety.

Every day will bring something new. You'll be involved in:

-Supporting the Facilities Manager and Engineer with day-to-day site operations and service delivery.

-Learning how to manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Work Orders (WOs).

-Assisting with contractor management — monitoring work on-site, ensuring compliance, and supporting safe operations.

-Getting hands-on with building systems, equipment checks, and basic repairs under supervision.

-Helping to manage supplies, consumables, and critical spares for the site.

-Supporting office moves, porterage tasks, and logistics to keep the site running efficiently.

-Using CAFM systems (such as MAXIMO) to log, track, and update maintenance activity.

-Working closely with front-of-house, security, and cleaning teams to deliver a seamless “One Mitie” service.

-Championing health, safety, and information security on-site, ensuring best practice at all times.

-Assisting with compliance record keeping, supplier management, and preparing cost data for remedial works.

This role gives you the broadest possible exposure to Facilities Management helping you understand the technical, operational, and people aspects that make a great FM professional.

You'll follow a structured development pathway through the Facilities Management Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship, designed to help you build confidence, capability, and career direction over a 24-month period. Through a combination of online workshops, e-learning, one-to-one tutor sessions, and hands-on workplace experience, you'll develop a deep understanding of how facilities management works from safety and sustainability to people leadership and commercial awareness.

What we are looking for:

You don't need previous FM experience, just enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

We're looking for individuals who:

-Have a strong work ethic and take pride in delivering great service.

-Enjoy solving problems and working with people.

-Can communicate clearly and work well in a team.

-Are safety-conscious, organised, and eager to develop.

-Can commute to Euston Station (NW1) within around an hour.

Eligibility:

-You must have been a resident in the UK or EEA for the last three consecutive years.

-You'll ideally hold GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths, or Functional Skills Level 2.

If you're returning to work, changing career, or just starting out, this is a fantastic way to gain a professional qualification, valuable experience, and a future in a growing industry that keeps the UK moving.
