Prospero Teaching, a leading education recruitment agency, is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Hereford. This is a full-time role starting in November covering maternity leave.
The Role:
- Position: Maths Teacher (Key Stage 3 & 4)
- Start: November 2025
- Contract: Full-time, maternity cover
- Location: Hereford
- Pay: £172.31 to £201.71 per day (depending on experience)
You'll be teaching Maths across a range of ability levels, using Edexcel at GCSE. The school places a strong emphasis on problem solving and reasoning across KS3 and KS4. You'll be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, mark work, provide feedback, and take part in department meetings and parents' evenings.
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - applications welcome from ECTs and experienced teachers
- A degree (preferably in Mathematics or related subject)
- Recent experience teaching in a UK secondary school (references required)
- Up-to-date safeguarding & Prevent training (or willingness to complete training with us)
- Passionate about Maths and committed to helping students reach their full potential
