The Finance Assistant Opportunity:

They’re looking for a Finance Assistant who’s organised, proactive, and ready to make a difference. You’ll join a small, friendly and collaborative finance team that keeps everything running smoothly.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, but there’s genuine potential for this role to become permanent — the organisation is growing and investing in its people, and strong performance could easily open long-term opportunities.

• 27 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
• Hybrid working – typically one day per week in the Bristol office
• Flexible hours (full time 37.5 hrs or part time min. 22.5 hrs)
• A supportive, inclusive team that values your contribution
• The chance to work in a purpose-driven organisation that’s shaping the future of healthcare finance

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Assistant:

• Maintaining accurate ledgers and financial records
• Importing and generating sales invoices

• Processing purchase ledger transactions and payment runs
• Supporting monthly reconciliations and reporting
• Uploading and processing expenses in Sage Line 50
• Providing general support to the finance team and wider organisation

What You’ll Bring:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a finance role, or part-qualified AAT (or equivalent)
• Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50
• Confident in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• A positive, flexible and collaborative mindset

Bonus Points If You Also Have:

• An understanding of the NHS finance and governance environment
