We are seeking a detail-focused HR Data and Governance Coordinator to join our People Services team. This role is key to ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of HR data and reports that inform decision-making across the organisation. You will be responsible for analysing, validating, and presenting data, supporting statutory returns, and producing clear, insightful reports for senior leaders and stakeholders.
Working closely with the HR Quality & Governance Lead, you will also play a vital role in policy development and governance, ensuring HR policies and processes are well-documented, compliant, and aligned with organisational standards. You will support the effective administration of policy reviews and approvals, while contributing to continuous improvements in reporting processes and data visualisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical and organisational skills who enjoys working with data, problem-solving, and providing high-quality information services. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt technical information for different audiences. In return, you’ll be part of a supportive team committed to improvement, collaboration, and delivering high standards across HR services.
As a HR Data and Governance Coordinator, you will be responsible for extracting, analysing and validating HR data from a range of systems to provide accurate and timely reports. This includes preparing routine and ad hoc performance reports, statutory returns, and responding to requests such as Freedom of Information submissions. A key part of the role will be ensuring data quality by investigating anomalies, resolving issues, and escalating risks or KPI failures where necessary.
You will support the HR Quality & Governance Lead in streamlining reporting processes and enhancing the visualisation of data, using tools such as Power BI to make complex information accessible to a wide range of audiences. Alongside this, you will provide guidance to colleagues on interpreting data, ensuring consistency, and promoting best practice in data management across the People Services directorate.
In addition to reporting, you will play an important role in the governance of HR policies and processes. This includes coordinating policy reviews, supporting Policy Leads to ensure documents meet the required standards, and overseeing their progress through the approval and ratification process. You will also liaise with key stakeholders, including union representatives, to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with statutory and organisational requirements.
