We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Property Retrofit Surveyor to join our growing energy efficiency team. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying residential properties, taking precise measurements and photographs, and producing accurate floor plans using AutoCAD or similar software. This role plays a key part in assessing homes for retrofit and energy improvement projects under government-backed schemes.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical and communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while engaging professionally with homeowners. A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to different locations are essential.
Core responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive property surveys of residential homes to assess suitability for retrofit and insulation measures.
Take accurate measurements, room dimensions, and property details, ensuring data precision and completeness.
Capture clear, well-structured photographs of internal and external property elements, including lofts, walls, and heating systems.
Produce detailed floor plans and layout drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
Identify key construction features, insulation types, and potential energy efficiency improvements.
Collaborate with retrofit coordinators, assessors, and installation teams to provide accurate survey information for project design.
Maintain organised survey records and ensure data integrity.
Skills & Qualifications
Excellent design, technical and software skills.
Product manufacturing for bespoke engineering OR civil engineering would be beneficial.
3-5 years experience in CAD engineering design role.
Ability to produce detailed schematic representations.
Highly competent in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Revit.
Advantageous to have Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge.
Progressing towards PAS2030 and PAS2035 framework.
Based on 37.5 hours per week. 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday. 30 mins unpaid lunch. Statutory UK holidays.
