We are seeking a digitally focused and forward-thinking Digital Solutions Lead to define, shape and implement the digital ecosystem that underpins ISS’s Defence service model.​

This role is responsible for aligning digital platforms, tools and integrations with Defence bid requirements and long-term operational delivery.​

Working closely with client stakeholders, IT, operational teams and the Defence Working Group, you will ensure digital capability is secure, compliant, interoperable and future-ready.

Job Description

The Digital Solutions Lead will play a pivotal role in mapping how ISS’s digital products, including ordering kiosks, mobile apps, analytics platforms and workflow tools, integrate across the Defence estate.​

You will provide strategic guidance on architecture, deployment and adoption, supporting innovation and user experience excellence while ensuring alignment with Defence compliance and service expectations.​

This is a high-impact role for someone comfortable working autonomously, driving outcomes, and taking end-to-end ownership of the digital roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Align ISS’s digital capabilities with Defence bid strategy and long-term service model.

Design and document the Defence digital ecosystem and its integration frameworks.

Develop deployment plans for platforms including the Central Production Unit and associated interfaces.

Lead the introduction of digital solutions that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

Translate Defence standards and security needs into system and platform requirements.

Work with IT, operations and technology partners to ensure cyber resilience and reliability.

Prepare digital “proof points” that strengthen Defence bid positioning and solution credibility.

Deliver training and adoption support to site teams to ensure successful utilisation.

Monitor platform performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Establish digital reporting frameworks that provide visibility of compliance, usage and value.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience managing or delivering digital solutions within complex or multi-site environments.

Background in digital transformation, product integration or platform deployment.

Exposure to Defence, government or regulated environments (desirable but not essential).

Familiarity with digital ordering platforms, customer-facing applications and data analytics tools.

Skills & Behaviours:

Strong technical literacy and ability to bridge IT and operational requirements.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Commercially aware with the ability to demonstrate strategic value from digital innovation.

Analytical, problem-solving and improvement-focused mindset.

Comfortable working autonomously and taking full ownership of outcomes.
