Strategic Finance Manager – Adult Social Care
Location: Truro (1–2 days on site per week)
Contract: Up to 6 months
Hours: 37 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP – Friday 9th January 2026
Pay: £277.07 - £393.48 per day based on expierence
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Finance Manager to provide high-level financial leadership and support to our Adult Social Care services. This role plays a key part in supporting joint health and social care arrangements, managing revenue and capital budgets, and contributing to the development and delivery of the council’s Medium-Term Financial Plan.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead strategic financial planning for Adult Social Care services
• Support major projects with appropriate financial resources and advice
• Act as senior finance contact for Strategic and Service Directors
• Provide financial advice to Council committees and partnership boards
• Work with Finance Business Analysts and Heads of Finance to coordinate activities across the council and partner organisations
Requirements:
• Significant experience in senior public sector finance roles
• Strong understanding of Adult Social Care and integrated service funding
• Full professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CIPFA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
This is a key interim position requiring an immediate start.
