Summary
Thepostholderwillwork inpartnershipwiththeBoroughLeadNurse(BLN)toensureallaspectsof nursing careare developed toa standard which providethe best possible outcometoservice users at Tower Hamlets Mental Health Unit
ThepostholderwilldeputizefortheBLNintheirabsencetakingresponsibilityfortheoperational management of the service.
· The post holder will work in partnership with the BLN to provide strategic nursing input at senior management level ensuring appropriate advice is provided to the Borough executive team so that effective,user-focussedmentalhealthservicesandahighstandardofnursingcarecanbedelivered in the borough.
· To manage the Matrons and provide visible nursing leadership to nurses within the Borough, offeringprofessionalandpracticeadviceandsupport.RepresentBoroughnurseslocallyandin Trust wide forums.
· ToprovideclinicalandprofessionalsupervisiontoseniornurseswithintheBorough,ensuringthat
standardsofnursingadviceareconsistent,andthatnursingdevelopmentsareinaccordancewith strategy and Trust/Borough’s objectives.
· ToworkinclosecollaborationwithServiceManagers,HeadsofProfession,andexternalagencies, contributing to the planning and delivery of high-quality mental health services locally.
· Work with the BLN to develop the most effective care pathways for service users through collaborationwiththeCommunityServicesManager,localitymanagers,matronsandotherhealth care professionals.
· EnsurethatSafeguardingisfullyembeddedwithintheInpatientservice.
· Todevelopnurse-ledinitiativesregardingcareprogrammes.
